Information Techology Specialist (Data Management)

Responsibilities

Analyzing data as well as existing and new business requirements to propose data standards, policies, and procedures to support data governance
Defining roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for data stewardship in the Organization
Facilitating the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise
Serving as a liaison between Organizational and Mission Support areas and technology, ensuring that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated, and understood
Collaborating with leadership and stakeholders to obtain required resources, information, deadlines, or pertinent decisions established to address or resolve any major work issues that may arise

You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position
Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective Service
Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years

Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem Solving
You qualify for this position if you meet the basic requirement listed above and possess one year of specialized experience as described below
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs and other organizations
Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process
Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 02/09/2026
