Data Engineer

Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain analytics infrastructure, data storage solutions, processing pipelines, and data‑management interfaces
Apply modern engineering practices including Agile, automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, observability, and secure‑by‑design principles
Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance performance and reliability across production systems
Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, software engineers, and grid subject‑matter experts to translate real operational challenges into elegant, maintainable solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science
Minimum 1 years related work experience
In lieu of Bachelors degree(s) AND 4 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 3 year(s) related work experience
Preferred
Hands‑on experience with AWS services (S3, DynamoDB, Glue, Athena, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.)
Strong data‑management skills and proficiency with SQL
Understanding of AWS infrastructure and tooling for building data and model workflows
Experience with Python development
Ability to design scalable solutions and balance performance with cost considerations
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, TDD, and CI/CD practices
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to build secure, reliable, and maintainable systems
A collaborative, growth‑oriented mindset and enthusiasm for fast‑paced, cutting‑edge engineering work
