Responsibilities
Perform general cost accounting and other related duties for 3 separate organizations
Complete accounts payable process through weekly check processing
Process weekly payrolls and all associated reports, filings and documents
Maintain various payroll-related reports including Paid Time Off tracking, tax funding, 401(k) funding, Certified Payroll reporting, audits and other reports as required
Verify monthly sales commissions
Post and reconcile bank deposits, ACH and credit card payments
Record financial transactions via journal entries and assist in the management of the month-end close process
Assist in completion of special projects
Multi-State Sales and Use tax return preparations
Perform other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related studies, preferred or equivalent related experience
3-5 years' experience in an accounting/finance function, preferably in construction or manufacturing
Extensive knowledge of payroll and accounts payable functions including balancing of accounts, internal controls
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
Proven track record of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects
Team player and with strong interpersonal skills
Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
Experience with prevailing wage payroll strongly preferred
