Responsibilities
Oversee inmate work crews in maintenance, repair, construction, groundskeeping, and janitorial tasks
Plan inmate schedules and provide instruction in the proper operation of machinery and vehicles
Inspect completed work and assist other trades staff in carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, refrigeration, masonry, and welding
Inventory materials and tools used to complete work assignments, submit purchase requests, and exercise care, custody, and control over inmates at all times
Qualification
Required
Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work; or an equivalent combination of experience and training
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required
You must be able to perform essential job functions
You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
