Student Researcher
Chapman University School of Pharmacy is seeking an undergraduate research assistant to perform independent laboratory work. The role involves conducting food chemical analysis of sunflower proteins, including protein isolation and functionality studies, as well as LC-MS analysis.

Responsibilities
Conduct laboratory work Food chemical analysis of sunflower proteins including: Sunflower protein isolation and functionality
Fluorescence analysis
LC-MS analysis
Communicate findings orally and in written format
Characterization of a chlorogenic acid esterase in sunflower protein solutions
Routine tasks related to maintaining lab safety, records, as well as ordering supplies
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing B.S. studies or completed B.S
Experience conducting laboratory work
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Prior research experience
Ability to perform duties independently and with little direction
Strong analytical and computational skills
Ability to collaborate with Principal Investigator and other researchers
Ability to conduct experiments in a timely manner and accurately record data
Ability to operate laboratory equipment and maintain a safe working environment
