$15/hr - $15/hrThe University of South Florida Libraries is seeking a Student Assistant to support the university’s occupational compliance, construction, and maintenance programs. This role involves assisting with administrative tasks, data management, and supporting occupational safety initiatives.

Responsibilities
Assist with occupational programs and sustainability initiatives
Support documentation and tracking of compliance activities
Help conduct construction work area inspections and compliance checks
Collect, organize, and analyze safety and compliance data
Prepare reports, learning/training aids, spreadsheets, and summaries using Excel and other tools
Assist with general office tasks such as filing, scanning, and record organization
Provide support for EHS management systems
Assist with policy development and maintenance of safety procedures
Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives
Qualification
Required
Current USF student with a Spring 2026 FWS (Federal Work Study) Award pursuing a degree in occupational safety or Public Health, or a related field. You must upload a copy of your Spring 2026 FWS Award to be considered for this position
Preferred
Experience with office productivity tools including spreadsheets, word processing, and basic database systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable and able to work effectively within construction zones and mechanical spaces
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft Office Suite
Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and analytical methods
