Responsibilities
Oversee all financial and accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and HR-related functions
Establish and maintain financial controls, procedures, and reporting systems
Prepare timely and accurate monthly reconciliations and financial reports
Prepare monthly accounts receivable progress billings in accordance with contract terms
Monitor daily cash balances to ensure operational requirements are met
Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll and associated payroll reporting
Meet all internal and external financial reporting deadlines
Oversee monthly job cost reporting and cost analysis
Manage insurance programs, risk protection, and benefit plans including ESOP and 401(k)
Coordinate insurance, accounting, and general ledger audits
Maintain required licensures and ensure ongoing compliance with regulations
Qualification
Required
3-5+ years of construction accounting experience, including job costing and cost analysis
Proficiency with Sage 300 (new versions) and strong Microsoft Excel skills
Ability to navigate ERP systems, expense tools, and financial reporting platforms
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and resolve complex issues
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required; advanced education preferred

Human Resources and administrative experience
Experience working within both general contracting and subcontracting environments
