Compensation Consultant

Responsibilities

Assist in the implementation and administration of compensation programs and systems including merit, market and equity analyses across the healthcare system
Participate in compensation surveys
Participate in job description development and job evaluation processes
Support the compensation team’s efforts to ensure internal equity, consistent application of policy, and external competitiveness through special projects and data collection
Conduct ad hoc market assessments and provide cost effective recommendations
Participate in Total Rewards team initiatives impacting associate compensation as needed
Recommend streamlining and continuous improvement opportunities
Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding compensation
Assist with Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) exemption tests to ensure appropriate status
Keep abreast of legislative changes and anticipate impact on hospital system. Provide recommendations to mitigate risk

Required

Mid-level application of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Access, Word and Outlook
Emerging analytical, math and problem solving capabilities
Familiarity with HRIS systems (Lawson/Infor preferred)
Solid verbal and written communication/presentation skills
Requires a minimum formal education of a bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent gained through a combination of education and work experience
2 to 4 years of progressive, related experience in the field

Preferred

Healthcare experience strongly preferred
Courses toward Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification preferred
Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or other related field preferred
