Staff Broadcast Engineer
Databricks is the data and AI company, and they are seeking a Staff Broadcast Engineer for their Media Productions team. In this role, you will ensure the maintenance and configuration of production equipment for live events and video production projects, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and build robust AV and Broadcast systems.

Responsibilities
Lead technology design, implementation, and maintenance within the Databricks Event, Training & Studio spaces as well as remote location setups for live events
Partner closely with the various Databricks organizations to turn short and long-term business needs into high quality, scalable, secure systems to enable Databrick’s critical initiatives
Build a positive relationship with business partners understanding their goals, workflows, and processes. Use your deep system knowledge to drive system strategy/vision, design, and implementation to mutually helpful ends
Maintain access control permissions for production equipment and systems
Experience with 2110, NDI and SDI based systems
Familiarity with MXL architecture
Maintain inventory and configuration documentation of production equipment
Broadcast Routing & Production Switcher Configurations
Audio DSP configurations and tuning
Managing production control stations on KVM
Ensuring production Intercom is available at any office location
Management of ingest and playout devices
Shared storage management (NAS)
Experience with multi tiered cloud based media storage workflows (LucidLink, Iconik, HighScale Flics)
Serve as the point of contact for network related issues
Documentation and training on new technologies
Operate as EIC (Engineer in Charge) during high profile broadcasts
Ability to comfortably step into other production roles as needed (Audio Console, Video Switch, Stream Eng, Cam operator, etc)
Qualification
Required
8+ years in A/V engineering roles, specifically focused on live broadcast and studio production
Experience working on systems located across multiple locations (ideally globally)
At least 4 years of experience handling SaaS collaboration tools (bonus if managed multiple SaaS collaboration applications)
Proven track record of having implemented, improved, and supported enterprise class SaaS systems. This includes planning, analysis and design, configuration, development, data migrations, system testing, cutover plan, and production support
Demonstrable ability to work autonomously, manage and lead small to medium projects or parts of larger programs requiring program management involvement
Solid grasp of IT fundamentals, including SDLC, agile methodologies, and change management
BA/BS, or relevant experience, is required
Experience in a dynamic, fast-growing environment
Excellent communication skills. Explaining complex technical concepts to others comes easy
