LCB Licensing Specialist

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an LCB Licensing Specialist for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB). This role involves reviewing and processing liquor license and permit applications, as well as examining legal documents to determine eligibility and compliance.

Responsibilities

Examining, analyzing, and evaluating licenses, permits, and supporting documents to determine correct execution, eligibility, and subsequent approval or denial of applications
Reviewing and determining acceptability of legal documents, such as agreements of sale, partnership agreements, leases, court orders, franchise agreements, IRS seizures, bankruptcy orders, and opinions, liens and writs
Examining pertinent files for complaints, convictions, citations, suspension, appeals, hearings, and any other irregularities or pending action which may affect the eligibility of the applicant and/or premises as well as for any other pending applications

Required

Two years of experience as an LCB Licensing Technician 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Five years of clerical, administrative, or para-professional experience supporting a legal, licensing, or other regulatory program requiring the application of statutes, program policies, and industry regulations, and graduation from high school; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
