CDL Equipment Operator/Laborer

DFC Company is a growing specialty contractor involved in residential and commercial construction services. They are seeking a CDL Equipment Operator/Laborer to operate specialized trucks and equipment, conduct pavement marking work, and maintain safety and compliance during operations.

Construction

Responsibilities

Operate specialized company trucks and equipment, including vehicles with air brakes and manual transmissions, in a safe and compliant manner
Transport materials, equipment, and hazardous materials in accordance with DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company policies
Perform pavement marking work, including painting long roadway lines and short markings such as intersections, arrows, messages, and parking lots
Assist with pavement marking project preparation and execution, including layout, reading plans, equipment setup, and installation
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance to ensure safe operation
Load, unload, lift, carry, and position materials, tools, pavement marking supplies, stencils, safety cones, and traffic control devices
Implement and maintain traffic control measures to establish safe work zones and monitor traffic flow during operations
Maintain safe following distances and awareness of surroundings while operating vehicles in active work zones
Complete all work in compliance with DOT standards, quality guidelines, and company safety policies while meeting production expectations
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks as required
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, hours worked, and vehicle inspections
Participate in safety meetings, required training sessions, and make suggestions to improve safety and operational efficiency
Follow all DFC safety and environmental policies, promptly correcting or reporting hazards, unsafe conditions, or injuries
