Pricing Manager I

Responsibilities
Assists UL Global Pricing Director in developing, managing and executing UL global pricing strategies, policies, guidelines and methodologies that drive global consistency, alignments and profitability for UL Commercial organizations
Develops pricing strategies and recommendations for designated special pricing projects or assignments and develop execution plans and processes to ensure their implementation
Provides coaching to pricing managers and analysts as needed and develop training materials for the pricing team for advanced learning and skills
Directs and provides strategic pricing consultations to the managers and leads with solid quantitative, qualitative and/or statistic analyses/data, to present UL service value, pricing trends, market shares, risks and growth opportunities thru pricing
Develops and achieves horizontal collaboration and consensus with global Industry leads and regional pricing/sales managers in global consistency and stability in pricing strategies, policies, guidelines, methodology and process
Develops pricing implementation plans, ensure new work price point accuracy in the Global Pricing Tool for its industry, and effectively communicates pricing strategy and decisions in a timely fashion to UL internal stakeholders and/or external customers as needed
Monitors the market and competitor’s price changes. Gathers and interprets competitive intelligence with in-depth understanding of the market, industry and competitors. Listens to customers and region’s feedback so as to improve prices and pricing methodologies
Works closely with regional pricing managers to provide pricing solutions, customer pricing presentations, training materials, trainings and other pricing support to sales
Develops pricing audit process and mechanism in the Global Pricing Tool and automatically checks and reports price results and customer behaviors
Qualification
Required
University degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related discipline plus generally 5 plus years of directly related work experience
