Responsibilities
Conducting the federally mandated 3-C regional transportation planning process for the Stateline Area Transportation Study (SLATS)
Providing staff support to the SLATS Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and SLATS Policy Board
Responsible for public information and stakeholder outreach
Liaison with local, state, and federal agencies as well as appointed and elected officials, transit operators and the public
Maintaining a forum for collaborative transportation planning and decision-making
Assisting in the implementation of transportation plans
Serving as the point of contact for SLATS activities
Assuring compliance with federal transportation planning and other applicable regulations
Ensuring that customer service is delivered in an effective and efficient manner
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College/University with major course work in Urban and Regional Planning, Engineering or similar field of study
A minimum of 4 (four) years of professional transportation planning experience is required
Preferred
Supervisory experience is preferred
Other combinations of training and/or experience which can be demonstrated to result in the possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position may also be considered
