2026 Fulltime- Systems Security Engineer I (Onsite)
Raytheon is seeking a well-qualified Systems Security Engineer I to join our Systems Security Engineering (SSE) team in developing solutions to protect the Warfighter’s technology advantage. The role involves performing analysis on cybersecurity data, validating secure configurations, and creating scripts to enhance security measures.

Responsibilities
Perform analysis on cybersecurity collected data and test results
Create patch artifacts such as patch media and information assurance posture reports; run regression tests on the system
Validate secure configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, servers, operating systems, applications, and other assets, using DoD approved scanning and assessment tools such as Nessus, STIG, Evaluate STIG, and/or RADIX
Create and maintain Linux Bash and Python scripts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by start date
This position requires 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships)
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred
Experience with Linux Bash and Python scripting
Basic understanding of the systems engineering process
Cyber Certifications in accordance with DoDD 8570/DoDD 8140 such as CISSP, GSLC, CEH
Knowledge/course work of radar, signal & image processing, digital communications, control theories, estimation theory and/or electro optics
Current/Active DoD security clearance or SSBI
