This internship offers law students hands-on experience in Democratic politics and the opportunity to contribute to ensuring every voter can cast their vote and have it counted.

Responsibilities
Report directly to the Deputy Director of Civic Engagement and Voter Protection
Attend mandatory onboarding/offboarding sessions
Conduct legal research
Draft legal memoranda
Organize events
Assist the Civic Engagement and Voter Protection team with managing our year-round Voter Assistance Hotline
Develop the Civic Engagement and Voter Protection team’s online and social media presence
Manage our volunteer efforts
Speak to voters nationwide through our year-round Voter Assistance Hotline
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be 18 years of age on or before the first day of the internship
Currently enrolled in an accredited law school in the United States
Applicants must complete at least one year of law school before applying
Commitment of 20 hours per week during the program
Physically present in the United States to participate in this internship program
Legal memorandum for a writing sample
Cover letter
Three professional references, including one for a law school professor
