Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable using accounting software for separate entities and vendors
Process check requests on a regular basis
Accurately review and process vendor invoices
Perform data entry associated with accounts payable
Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies
Address and respond to vendor inquiries
Ensure proper documentation has been collected from all vendors
Ensure outstanding balances are updated with credit memos that are due
Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process
Utilize internal accounting system to prepare and file 1099 tax forms
Complete vendor credit applications
Assist operational team members in training and guiding them in accounts payable processes and procedures
Maintain accurate records of all invoices and contracts
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or Associate degree in accounting preferred
2-3 years' experience with accounts payable or general accounting
Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Strong time management, organization skills, analytical abilities, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing administrative duties
Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 pounds
Ability to perform ongoing computer-based work, including data entry and electronic communication
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person, by phone, and in writing
Ability to work in an office setting
Preferred
Knowledge of Yardi Voyager and Yardi VendorCafe preferred
