Responsibilities
Analyze complex insurance policies including CGL and Umbrella coverage
Draft detailed coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and declination letters
Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare memoranda on evolving coverage issues
Draft and review pleadings, briefs, motions, and litigation filings
Manage document review and factual investigations related to coverage disputes
Prepare correspondence with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel
Participate in mediations, hearings, and court proceedings
Support strategy development for high-exposure insurance litigation matters
Work directly with partners and clients on case assessment and risk analysis
Handle sensitive, time-critical matters with precision and professionalism
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience as an Insurance Coverage Attorney or coverage litigation associate
Active New York Bar required
Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills
Experience drafting coverage opinions and litigation documents
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Preferred
Experience with CGL/Umbrella policies
Litigation or mediation experience
Multi-jurisdictional admissions
Interest in long-term growth within a sophisticated insurance practice
