Finance Director

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in QuickBooks
Record and reconcile all expenses, donations, and credit card accounts
Review timecards and process payroll
Collect and maintain W-9s; prepare and file annual 1099s
Support Form 990 preparation and required financial filings
Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and best practices
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
File and report sales tax on merchandise sales
Serve as point of contact for auditors and support audit preparations
Assist with annual budget development and enter budget into QuickBooks
Monitor financial performance and analyze monthly and quarterly results
Provide insights and recommendations to support planning and decision-making
Manage cash flow and ensure funds availability
Maintain banking relationships and vendor accounts
Evaluate financial performance against short- and long-term goals
Support improvements to financial systems, processes, and efficiencies
Enter and track all donations in CRM software
Prepare and distribute donor tax receipts and annual donor reports
Support donor stewardship efforts (acknowledgments, follow-up, reporting)
Create and manage campaigns, receipts, and sales within the CRM
Participate in monthly National Angels accounting calls
Maintain accurate HR records for all employees
Manage benefits-related paperwork
Support annual employee handbook compliance
Assist with tracking and organizing volunteer and donor data
Support implementation and optimization of financial and data systems
Provide financial data for grants, reports, and National Angels

Required

Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or related field
Significant experience in accounting, finance, or nonprofit financial management
Proficiency in Quickbooks and Excel
Experience using Google Workspace
Personal Cell Phone & Laptop
Ability to pass State and Federal background checks

Preferred

Experience using CRM systems preferred
