Responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering blueprints to ensure accurate procurement of materials
Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing processes
Analyze demand forecasts and sales data to determine material requirements and production timelines
Source and procure raw materials, components, and supplies from reliable suppliers
Negotiate contracts and terms of purchase to secure the best possible prices and conditions
Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to meet production needs without overstocking
Coordinate with various departments, including procurement, inventory management, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless operations
Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste
Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as production cycle time, efficiency rates, and on-time delivery rates
Communicate with sales and customer service teams to provide updates on production status and address any changes in demand or production issues
Handle capacity planning and logistics projects to optimize resource utilization
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in supply chain management, ERP systems, and supply chain buying and planning within manufacturing or engineering settings
Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints accurately
Strong negotiation skills for securing favorable terms with vendors
Experience in purchasing, procurement, and managing purchase orders
Proficiency with SAP and project management tools
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
4+ years of experience within a manufacturing environment
