Responsibilities
Draft and argue motions for summary judgment, motions to compel, and other dispositive motions
Appear daily in Landlord-Tenant Court to argue motions and conduct trials
Manage eviction proceedings and summary proceedings from intake through judgment
Prepare predicate notices and ensure compliance with NYC housing regulations
Draft pleadings in plenary actions involving breach of lease, contract, and guaranty claims
Negotiate settlements and advise clients on litigation risk and strategy
Draft lease modifications, surrender agreements, and landlord-tenant documentation
Provide day-to-day legal guidance to real estate operators and property managers
Maintain multiple active matters while meeting strict court deadlines
Collaborate with team members to develop consistent litigation strategies
Qualification
Required
2+ years of Landlord-Tenant or Real Estate Litigation experience
Admission to practice law in New York (NY Bar required)
Experience handling NYC court appearances independently
Experience preparing predicate notices and eviction filings
Strong motion drafting and litigation writing skills
Ability to manage cases with minimal supervision
Strong organizational and client-communication skills
Preferred
Landlord-tenant trial experience
Commercial or construction litigation background
Experience advising NYC real estate operators or developers
Experience drafting lease-related transactional documents
