BCG Attorney Search is a top-tier Am Law firm seeking a mid-level Employment Litigation Associate to join its management-side employment practice in New York. The role involves handling complex employer-side litigation and providing day-to-day counseling on compliance issues and workplace disputes.
Responsibilities
Defend employers in complex employment litigation in state and federal courts
Handle wage and hour disputes, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims
Manage all phases of litigation including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, and hearings
Draft and negotiate employment agreements, separation agreements, and restrictive covenant agreements
Advise on non-competes, employee mobility, and trade secret protections
Conduct workplace investigations and risk assessments
Provide day-to-day counseling to HR and management on compliance issues
Support employment due diligence in corporate transactions
Research evolving state and federal employment laws and develop compliance strategies
Qualification
Required
3–6 years of experience as an Employment Litigation Associate or Labor and Employment Attorney
Experience in management-side employment defense litigation
Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws (Title VII, FLSA, ADA, etc.)
Experience providing practical employment counseling to business clients
Admission to practice in New York and/or New Jersey
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
Preferred
Experience handling wage and hour class or collective actions
Background in workplace investigations
Due diligence experience in M&A or corporate transactions
Large law firm or sophisticated litigation environment experience
