Responsibilities
Lead site-level accounting and financial reporting activities
Oversee general ledger, cost accounting, budgeting, and financial controls
Own FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, headcount)
Manage inventory accuracy and cycle counts
Track capital project spend and fixed asset capitalization
Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
Prepare financial statements, compliance reports, and regulatory filings
Support internal and external audits and implement corrective actions
Develop financial reports and ad hoc analyses for site and corporate leadership
Maintain adherence to corporate and site-level policies and procedures
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across operating departments
Partner closely with site leadership and corporate finance teams
Maintain confidentiality and data integrity
Play a key role in ERP system evaluation, selection, and implementation
Drive integration of financial systems in a mining/industrial/manufacturing environment
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of experience as a financial leader (public company experience preferred)
Strong expertise in Excel (advanced, hands-on)
Strong experience with QuickBooks
Experience in FP&A, cost accounting, and operational finance
Experience with internal controls and SOX compliance
Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards (U.S. GAAP experience required)
Experience with ERP implementation in mining, industrial, or manufacturing environments
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work legally in the United States
Preferred
CPA designation
Experience with construction project management and agile/lean practices
Knowledge of tax and transfer pricing
Experience working in complex, asset-heavy operational environments
