Responsibilities
Represent buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants in commercial real estate transactions
Advise lenders and borrowers in real estate financing transactions, including structured financings
Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, and closing deliverables
Support real estate acquisitions and dispositions, including due diligence review and risk assessment
Handle leasing matters, including commercial lease negotiations and amendments
Assist with real estate development and asset management workstreams
Support debt and equity financings, including joint ventures and capital stack structures
Coordinate with internal teams and opposing counsel to drive transactions efficiently
Maintain strong client communication and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice
Qualification
Required
2–8 years of experience handling commercial real estate transactions and/or real estate finance matters
Active California State Bar membership (CA Bar required)
Strong drafting and negotiation ability in purchase, lease, and finance documents
Ability to manage multiple deals and deadlines in a fast-paced transactional practice
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Experience representing lenders/borrowers in financing transactions
Familiarity with affordable housing transactions or finance structures (helpful, not required)
Prior experience in a large law firm or sophisticated real estate practice group
