Responsibilities

Provides superior customer service
Answers customer questions regarding products and assists them with selections; helps customers locate store merchandise
Merchandises product effectively
Uses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales
Prepares work schedules for department
Provides work direction and training to department Partners
Stocks and rotates items as needed
Assists with inventory control; loads, unloads, and moves product
Organizes, cleans, and prepares back area for the night crew and incoming trucks
Organizes merchandise on pallets to make the department presentable to the public
Ensures integrity of shelf tags and signage in department; may create / prepare signage, as needed
Maintains standards in shrink, safety, inventory control, and sanitation
Checks shipments for out-of-date and damaged product to ensure freshness and quality of products
Builds, stocks, maintains, and takes down store displays

Required

high school diploma
communication and interpersonal skills
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Minimum age 18 (mandatory)
1+ years of experience (preferred)
Completion of Basics of Safety training
Knowledge of natural foods, vitamins, minerals, macrobiotics, herbs, sports nutrition, organics, homeopathy, and aromatherapy
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong verbal / written communication skills
Strong time-management, planning, and organization skills
Strong merchandising and selling skills
Leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between projects / tasks in a fast-paced environment
