Respiratory Equipment Technician
Providence is a comprehensive health care organization that serves over 50 hospitals and 1,000 clinics. The Respiratory Equipment Technician is responsible for cleaning, inspecting, and distributing respiratory devices and equipment, while ensuring supplies are available and collaborating with other departments.

Responsibilities
The Respiratory Equipment Tech is responsible for the effective cleaning, inspection, proper sterilization and setup and distribution of respiratory devices and equipment, including but not limited to noninvasive and invasive ventilators, high flow systems, pulse oximeters, medical gas tanks, etc
Assures that necessary supplies are available for use on respiratory equipment
Works collaboratively with other departments such as Biomed to stage, retrieve and locate equipment for repair, preventative maintenance and regional sharing
Performs EKGs as necessary and directed by Respiratory care team
Is knowledgeable in procedures for preparing equipment for patient use and serves as a patient safety advocate
Qualification
Required
H.S. Diploma or GED
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
1 year experience using personal computer and basic software programs
Preferred
Coursework/Training: Enrollment in an accredited Respiratory Therapy education program, or previous patient care experience may be considered in-lieu-of course work/training/education
3 months acute care experience
