5+ years expSAIC is looking for an experienced Senior System Administrator for the Network Information Technology Enterprise Services (NITES) contract to serve as the onsite liaison and subject matter expert for the NORAD & USNORTHCOM information technology enterprise. Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy management
Manage and optimize VMware and/or Nutanix virtualization technologies
Implement and maintain system security protocols in accordance with DoD standards
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
Perform system patching and updates to ensure compliance and security
Document system configurations, procedures, and security policies
Capture, document and maintain knowledge documents and processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system functionality and security
Represent NITES and NORAD & USNORTHCOM HQ at the external location as the site liaison and subject matter expert
Qualification
Required
Security + Certification is required
Expert-Level Certification is required (Security X (formally CASP+), GFACT, FITSP-O, CCNP Security, or CCSP)
(MCSA, Asure, Linux System Administration Fundamentals, Microsoft certified Fundamentals or equivalent)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field plus 5 years of experience or High School Diploma plus 9 years of experience
Top Secret/SCI is required
Proven experience as a System Administrator in a DoD or similarly regulated environment
Strong experience with VMware/Nutanix/Microsoft virtualization technologies
Strong experience with Windows Server and Desktop administration
In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and cybersecurity best practices
Experience managing Active Directory, Group Policies, and other Microsoft domain services
Proficiency in Windows Server and Desktop administration and management
Familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft O365 products for project collaboration
Experience with PowerShell, Microsoft Management Console, and other Microsoft management tools
Understanding of DoD compliance requirements and cybersecurity standards
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills with the ability to accurately document
Preferred
Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
