IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/INFOSEC)

Responsibilities
Monitor system health actively, interpreting performance metrics, and taking immediate corrective actions when needed
Collaborate with various IT teams to ensure security protocols integrate effectively across projects
Promote strong relationships with technology vendors to ensure top-tier support and products for the organization
Keeping up to date with the latest IT trends to identify and propose innovative solutions
Pursues inter-agency collaboration and continuous learning to optimize data assets, ensuring robustness, security, and efficiency in alignment with DoD objectives and emerging technologies
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service
This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination
In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and completing Residential Qualification requirements overall in 12 months
This position has been designated as Mission Essential
Employee may subject to recall or call back during off-shift hours, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, if required by upper management
This is a drug testing designated position
Attention to Detail - experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been asked by others to review their work or data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards
Customer Service - experience maintaining relationships with customers, assessing current information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products and services that are tailored to meet customer needs
Oral Communication - briefing mid-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of technical information to a non-technical audience
Problem Solving - identifying alternatives to address complex information technology-related issues by gathering and applying information from a variety of sources that provide a number of potential solutions
In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must possess qualifying experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position
Experience with Search Processing Language (SPL) Query, Forensics/analytics, Data interpretation/enrichment, Log analytics platform Configuration Adjustment/Knowledge object management, Data feed management, Metrics reporting, User management (passwords, roles, permissions, onboarding/offboarding, etc.)
