Actively participate in community outreach and education
Build and maintain relationships with community organizations
Actively listen to community residents about legal needs and develop strategies to address them on an individual and systemic basis
Collaborate with administrative staff to administer regional office operations and program-wide projects
Provide proactive supervision for attorneys, support staff, law students, and other staff
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum of seven (7) years of legal experience and seven (7) years of supervisory/management experience
Demonstrated legal and managerial competence, including the ability to oversee regional office operations
Proven experience recruiting, hiring, supervising, and developing staff
Strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, the judiciary, private bar, funders, and agency staff
Licensed to practice law in Illinois or eligible for admission through reciprocity
Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with individuals from diverse social, economic, and racial/ethnic backgrounds
Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and organizational skills
Highly motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Strong commitment to justice and equity
Applicants must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and car insurance
Reliable home broadband internet sufficient to support remote work meetings, court and video conference hearings, as well as remote meetings/events with community partners

Prior legal services experience preferred
