IT CYERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)
The Defense Information Systems Agency is seeking an IT Cybersecurity Specialist to support the mission of the US Cyber Command. This role is responsible for overseeing the cybersecurity program of information systems and networks, developing strategies and policies, and conducting risk assessments to ensure compliance with IT security requirements.

Responsibilities
Oversees the cybersecurity program of an information system or network
Responsible for the cybersecurity of a program, organization, system, or enclave
Develops cyberspace plans, strategy, and policies and procedures to support and align with organizational cyberspace missions and initiatives
Monitors and evaluates systems, compliance with IT security policies and requirements
Conducts risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs
Serves as the Program Management Office Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), managing eMASS for key Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) support environments

Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service
This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination
In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and completing Residential Qualification requirements overall in 12 months
Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) as a condition of employment
This position is Mission Essential
This is a drug testing position
This position may require the incumbent to work an alternative or shift work schedule
This position may require travel away from the normal duty station on an occasional basis
Attention to Detail- experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been asked by others to review their work or data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards
Customer Service - experience maintaining relationships with customers, assessing current information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products and services that are tailored to meet customer needs
Oral Communication - briefing mid-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of technical information to a non-technical audience
Problem Solving - identifying alternatives to address complex information technology-related issues by gathering and applying information from a variety of sources that provide a number of potential solutions
Experience conducting risk and vulnerability assessments (i.e. alerts, advisories, errata, and bulletins) of planned or installed information systems
