Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend APIs using Rust
Build and maintain REST and GraphQL endpoints with strong focus on performance and reliability
Implement robust data validation, error handling, and security best practices across backend services
Plan and execute database migrations, schema updates, and performance optimizations
Actively test AI-powered coding models within Cursor, simulating real-world developer workflows
Submit detailed incident reports, bug traces, screenshots, and structured feedback on AI behavior
Participate in intensive multi-day testing cycles to evaluate model impact on backend development
Collaborate closely with AI researchers and engineers via Slack to discuss findings and recommend improvements
Complete post-testing surveys with clear, actionable insights on model quality and developer experience
Qualification
Required
Strong professional backend development experience with strong expertise in Rust
Proven experience building and maintaining RESTful and GraphQL APIs
Advanced understanding of backend validation, error handling, and API security practices
Hands-on experience with database migrations, schema design, and performance tuning
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for precise bug and incident reporting
Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, confidential, and fully remote environments
Preferred
Strong familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools; experience using Cursor is highly preferred
