Senior Financial Analyst, Full Time - Days

Responsibilities
Partners with operations to achieve goals of the organization, which may include budget training, data support, performance improvement initiatives, and productivity training
Provides timely, accurate and informative analyses of the current status and forecasting results of operations including clinical activity, revenues and expenses
Works in collaboration with various departments in the development and implementation of the Labor productivity system
Performs monthly business reviews with leaders to understand departmental operations, identify barriers to success, and provide data support to leaders to drive operational improvement
Works collaboratively with other areas on the development of both internal and external business plans for inclusion in the long-term financial forecasts. Oversees business plans including the current year operating budget
Supports the System Vice President and Service Line Leaders in developing and setting the financial strategy and direction for UCM operations in Harvey, IL and Crown Point, IN to drive financial performance
Work closely with departmental leaders by acting as a strategic partner to assist with budget preparation, while providing ongoing communication of financial, productivity, resource utilization performance, leakage, KPIs to benchmark variance review along with other financial performance indicators
Foster efforts to positively impact the organization’s visibility, image, and relationship with its surrounding community
Creates and promotes a positive and supportive work culture
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting required
5 years of hospital Finance, Decision Support, and/or Population Health Analytics preferred from a standalone facility within a large corporation or complex healthcare system
Advanced knowledge of labor productivity standards, revenue cycle performance, and hospital financial plans including operating and capital budgets are essential
A sound knowledge of healthcare accounting, finance and cost controls with skills in business acumen, strategic planning, organizational assessment, highly developed leadership and quantitative analytic abilities
Experience developing reports using Cyrstal or an equivalent model
Ability to analyze information, present data, and draw conclusions by applying analysis techniques, using data to drive positive performance
Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and exercise a high degree of diplomacy, discretion and collaboration in dealing with constituencies at various levels of the organization
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Ability to speak articulately and to answer difficult questions with confidence
Effective ability to bring clarity to complex issues and coach problem-solving techniques is essential, along with the ability to model a creative and proactive ‘can-do' attitude
An individual of unquestioned integrity and moral character who represents the values of the organization
Strong knowledge of Microsoft products, especially Excel and Access
Fluent in ERP/financial software systems required, including Oracle Cloud, and ability to harness information for PowerPoint presentations and insights
Preferred
Advanced degree in IT/Data Management preferred
5 years of hospital Finance, Decision Support, and/or Population Health Analytics preferred from a standalone facility within a large corporation or complex healthcare system

The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis.
Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity.
Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
