Responsibilities
Direct all general ledger, accounts close, and financial reporting activities on a monthly and annual basis
Prepare and review internal and external financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Provide financial analysis, variance explanations, and trend reporting to executive leadership
Design, implement, and refine accounting policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks
Monitor operating expenses and partner with leadership to identify efficiency and cost-management opportunities
Oversee multi-entity and consolidated financial reporting
Coordinate tax-related accounting, including partnership structures, K-1 reporting, and multi-jurisdictional compliance support
Maintain comprehensive balance sheet, income statement, and tax support schedules
Serve as a key liaison for year-end audits, reviews, and external advisors
Support ERP optimization initiatives, system enhancements, and reporting automation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree in Accounting strongly preferred
Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including people or process leadership
Hands-on experience with ERP systems, including participation in implementations or major upgrades
Strong proficiency in financial reporting tools and data analysis (Excel required; BI tools such as Power BI preferred)
Experience working within robust ERP environments such as Sage, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, or Xero (QuickBooks-only backgrounds will not be considered)
Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP; exposure to cost accounting is a plus
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, communicate financial concepts clearly, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Master's degree in Accounting strongly preferred
BI tools such as Power BI preferred
Industry experience in consumer products, distribution, e-commerce, or branded goods is strongly preferred
