Graphic Designer & Illustrator

Design Observer is a fast-growing and innovative toy company that develops, produces, and markets an exciting collection of award-winning toys and games. They are seeking a talented Graphic Designer/Illustrator who can create stunning visual representations for various projects from concept to final deliverable, utilizing their expertise in design software. The role involves working independently on diverse graphic design projects, ensuring quality standards are met, and managing digital asset databases.

Responsibilities

Work independently on a wide range of projects using all Adobe Creative Suite to conceptualize and develop innovative graphic designs
Projects include retail packaging, logos, POP displays, web and social media assets, presentations, collateral, signage, internal communications, and marketing materials
Develop concepts via sketching or with design software and execute original content by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout
Obtain input from senior managers to ensure that designs meet quality standards
Update and maintain internal digital assets databases
Manage the design and uploading process for all project materials, based on best practices for using our content management system

Qualification

Adobe Creative SuiteGraphic design experienceIllustration skillsPhotography experienceCommunication skillsTime-management skills

Required

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, illustration, or related discipline and expert level with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, etc)
3 or more years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a CPG company or creative studio/marketing agency
Attention to detail, self-motivated, thoughtful design, hard-working and the ability to work independently without much direction is required
Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills with great design taste as shown by portfolio
Excellent communication and presentation skills
A love for all things toys; a collector
Organizational and time-management skills for managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Illustration or sketching skills highly preferred
Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software preferred
