Senior Accountant
Falcon Resource Fund is a Tulsa-based oil and gas company with upstream operations and a portfolio of resource funds. They are seeking a Senior Accountant / Accounting Supervisor to manage accounts payable and cash management across their operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Full-cycle AP processing across multiple operating entities and fund structures
Vendor setup, management, and relationship maintenance
Invoice coding, approval routing, and payment scheduling
1099 reporting and compliance
Ensuring proper allocation of costs across entities, JIBs, and AFEs
Daily cash positioning and forecasting across multiple bank accounts and entities
Bank reconciliations — weekly and monthly
Cash disbursement management and payment prioritization
Monitoring and reporting on cash balances, line draws, and reserve requirements
Flagging variances and cash flow issues to the Controller and leadership proactively
Month-end close support including AP accruals, prepaids, and reconciliations
Maintaining clean GL records with proper entity and cost center coding
Supporting year-end audit preparation and documentation
Ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed by the Controller or executive team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
4+ years of accounting experience with direct AP and cash management responsibility
Multi-entity experience — you've worked in environments with multiple companies, funds, or cost centers running simultaneously
Strong Excel skills and comfort working across accounting systems
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage deadlines across competing priorities
Someone who takes ownership and communicates proactively when something is off
Preferred
Oil and gas industry experience, particularly upstream or E&P operations
Familiarity with joint interest billing (JIB), revenue distribution, and AFE tracking
Prior supervisory or team lead experience
Experience with ODA oil and gas accounting software
Public accounting or multi-client consulting background
