Responsibilities
Design responsible for manufacturing and production processes of Solid Rocket Motors, and subassemblies
Provide leadership in the design of lean manufacturing layouts and processes to reduce waste, improve quality, and enhance product flow
Develop management control systems alongside program/project managers to facilitate timely outcomes and changes across Solid Rocket Motor Production
Provide active input into Change Board Reviews, Sprints and Scums to drive outcomes that will affect production across all product lines
Work and communicate effectively with all functions at all levels of the organization
Evaluate current manufacturing processes and drive improvements for enhancing efficiency
Focus on optimizing the use of floor space, materials, personnel, and equipment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior Manufacturing Engineering experience
Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior Manufacturing Engineering experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior Manufacturing Engineering experience
Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
Travel: 25%
Preferred
Active US Security Clearance is a plus
Experience with Solid Rocket Motor manufacturing is highly desired
Experience leading cross functional engineering teams (including at least one assignment leading a 40+ person engineering team) through program lifecycles from proposal to production and sustainment
Experience with high volume manufacturing is strongly preferred
Cost account management experience, project management experience a plus
