Responsibilities
Participates in strategic planning for FOD Programs to ensure effective and efficient, while working in an environment that must adjust priorities based on emergent program requirements, legislation, and regulations
Conducts analysis to identify and analyze problems, investigates and determines possible solutions, prepare and present recommendations from a comprehensive management standpoint
Directs subordinates who are tasked with analyzing, developing and drafting policies, procedures and guidelines required to accomplish overall and/or specialized segments of the directorate
Oversees the development and implementation of new or emergent operational program activities or enhancements with regard to improving day to day field operations activities
Performs administrative and human resource management functions, directs and plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets performance expectations, provides advice and counsel to workers, and completes employee performance evaluations
Qualification
Required
You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National to apply for this position
Successfully pass a Background Investigation including financial disclosure
You must pass a drug screening

Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with the Selective Service
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service
You qualify at the GS-15 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the federal government
Planning and directing major agency-level initiatives related to the immigration program
Managing major components of immigration policy and operational programs and their support functions
Serving as an expert or consultant to senior management officials on the resolution of extremely sensitive and complicated immigration issues
Directing the development of nationwide immigration policy and program initiatives
Your resume must highlight your most relevant, significant experience related to the requirements found in the qualification section of this announcement

Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
You must provide a copy of your official SF-50 or other official 'Notification of Personnel Action' document that shows your appointment in the competitive service, tenure, grade and step, full performance level
If you are claiming special priority selection rights under the Agency Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) or the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP), submit a copy of your agency notice, a copy of your most recent performance rating, and a copy of your most recent SF-50
If you are a current or former political Schedule A, Schedule C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee, submit a copy of your applicable SF-50, along with a statement that provides the information regarding your most recent appointment
