Assisting members in person and by phone
Providing information about credit union products and services
Conducting account research
Completing necessary file maintenance
Assisting with payroll and account changes
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of security procedures and internal controls
Professionally and proactively helping members achieve their financial objectives
Resolving potential problems and creating positive member solutions
Understanding members’ needs and promoting appropriate credit union products and services
Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Palmetto Citizens products
Delivering assistance in a safe and secure manner
Handling member transactions professionally
Maintaining a balanced and secure cash drawer
Permitting availability of funds for checks up to a specified limit without further approval
Balancing and securing vault cash and other co-signed items in absence of Teller Manager
Instructing member service associates in security procedures and internal controls
Overseeing ATM operations and care
Mentoring and teaching associates
Enhancing the value of the Member Service Project
Accepting and approving checks up to a specified limit without further approval
Qualification
Required
3+ years of cash handling and customer service experience required, preferably in a retail banking or credit union setting
High School Diploma or GED is required
Preferred
college degree preferred
Prior head tellering experience preferred
Bilingual candidates a plus
