Amica Talent is partnering with a major global infrastructure developer expanding its data center platform across the US. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design, execution, and technical ownership of large-scale data center projects.

Responsibilities

Support the end-to-end electrical design and delivery of large-scale data center projects, from concept through commissioning
Develop and review electrical designs covering HV, MV, and LV systems, including substations, switchgear, transformers, and distribution
Lead or oversee power system studies (load flow, short circuit, coordination)
Work closely with external design partners, vendors, and construction teams to ensure buildable, compliant designs
Support procurement, factory testing, site installation, and commissioning activities
Evaluate and adopt new power technologies where they improve reliability, efficiency, or speed to market
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements
Act as a technical escalation point, identifying and resolving delivery risks before they become problems

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
5+ years of experience delivering electrical systems for data centers or mission-critical facilities
Proven experience on design-build projects (owner, EPC, GC, or consultant)
Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV power distribution, protection, and backup power systems
Experience with power system analysis tools (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, PSCAD, etc.)
Solid understanding of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, ANSI and related standards
Comfortable working across design, construction, and operations teams
Able to work autonomously in a fast-moving, delivery-focused environment

Preferred

PE license
Experience with hyperscale or campus-style builds
Exposure to BESS, microgrids, or onsite generation
Commissioning or site execution experience
Owner-side or developer-side background
