Virginia Western Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education seeking part-time Administrative Management Technology (AMT) Adjunct Faculty. Teach college-level courses in-person and online
Maintain currency in teaching disciplines and trends in community college education
Participate in departmental communication
Assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in administrative support or management, business administration or management and Masters' degree with 18 graduate semester hours in administrative support or management, business administration, business education, management or information systems technology
Knowledge of MS Office 2019/365 edition and Windows 10
Two years of related occupational experience in business, management, administrative support
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to write syllabi and exams
Ability to develop learning strategies, curriculum and assessments
Ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds
Preferred
MOS certifications in 2010 or later
Office management experience
Experience using technology in the classroom and teaching online
Experience teaching in a college setting
Experience teaching at the community college-level
