Responsibilities
Design and develop epi structures of DFB lasers to achieve highest performances in terms of optical power, efficiency, wavelength stability, beam angle, modulation speed reliability, etc
Mask layout generation
Data analysis to build correlation between performance and designs
Failure analysis of issues affecting functionality and performance
Work closely with internal and external epitaxial engineer, integration engineer, packaging/testing for product development and quality improvement
Limited travel
Qualification
Required
Ph.D degree in EE, materials, optics, physics related to semiconductor lasers industry experience required
2+ years of experience required
Hands-on design experience of DFB or other laser diodes is required
GaAs- or InP-based DFB laser experience is a plus
In-depth knowledge in laser diode physics and modeling
Track record of successful laser diode development
Self-motivated, trustworthy, team player and dependable
Preferred
Experience in wafer processing, packaging/testing, epitaxial characterization, reliability and failure analysis
