Finance Director
The Borough of Bridgeport is seeking a Finance Director to oversee the financial administration of the borough, managing its general and sewer fund budgets. The role includes responsibilities such as budget research, payroll, insurance claims, audits, and financial reporting, among others.

Responsibilities
Focus primarily on the financial administration of the borough and its $6.9 million general fund and $1.6 million sewer fund budgets

Responsible for other routine duties and special projects as delegated by the Borough Manager
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, public or business administration
3-5 years of municipal administration experience involving fiscal and budgetary activities in a governmental operation or non-profit organization with supervisory duties
Knowledge of public finance and fiscal planning
Knowledge of organization and functions of municipal government
Knowledge of payroll and accounts payable functions
Knowledge of budgetary and accounting and reporting systems along with GASB knowledge
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Knowledge and experience of other aspects of municipal management, such as grant administration, insurance claim processing, and employee benefit administration
