Mid LevelGirls Choral Academy is seeking an energetic and dynamic Music Director to lead and inspire our elementary choirs. This role combines teaching, mentoring, and program coordination, ideal for someone passionate about vocal music education and youth development.
Musicians
Responsibilities
Teach weekly vocal music classes for three elementary choirs; create lesson plans to fulfill established curriculum goals
Assist Artistic Director with recruitment, trips and performances
Keep accurate attendance records; manage permissions for all field trips
Motivate and mentor young girls to become confident leaders and team-builders
Teach SEL within programmatic curriculum
Connect with parents to support family stability
Create relationship with school and leaders to promote a successful program
Qualification
Required
Energetic and dynamic leader with ability to attract and engage youth
Excellent organizational skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
A background in working with elementary-age children
Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
Preferred
Some teaching experience and vocal music education is preferred
Preferred prior exposure to fund-raising processes and event management
