Responsibilities
Performing calculations and conceptual designs for greenfield renewable projects
Coordinating engineering and design efforts
Working within a team and leading/conducting meetings with peers and clients
Coordinating with project managers and clients to develop proposal documents and estimates to facilitate bidding on work
Focusing on modifications and upgrades in existing facilities
Qualification
Required
Electrical Engineer with an emphasis on power generation
Multi-discipline projects in hydro, gas and fossil power generating facility experience is required
Performing calculations and conceptual designs for greenfield renewable projects is desired
Duke, TVA, Exelon, Dominion or other power industry experience is desired
Desired experience includes low voltage and medium voltage power distribution
Motor controls for both low voltage and medium voltage
Interfacing industrial processes to DCS and/or PLC systems
Use of power distribution system modeling software (ETAP or similar)
Familiar with panel design and 3D environment
Candidate needs to be a leader, capable of coordinating engineering and design efforts
Working within a team and comfortable being in front of peers and clients leading/conducting meetings
Coordinating with project managers and clients to develop proposal documents and estimates to facilitate bidding on work
Work will mostly center around modifications and upgrades in existing facilities
Preferred
Micro grid, Solar, Wind and Battery Storage experience is a plus
Experience in relay protection would be a plus
