Responsibilities

Ability to Support field execution with technical guidance for codes, standards, specifications, and design criteria
Experience Managing technical requirements for construction, including coordinating designer-constructor interfaces, design changes, submittal reviews, inspection documentation, and request for information (RFI), field change requests (FCR), commissioning, and turnover processes
Aptitude for conducting field verifications of construction work to oversee, facilitate, and enforce compliance with drawings, specifications, national codes and standards
Work with Ability to coordinate and manage externally executed design work, including administration and oversight of design contracts as required
Aptitude in collaborative problem solving to resolve nuclear facility and infrastructure engineering issues in the field as the liaison between design engineers and the constructor

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 2 years of practical work experience necessary to perform the responsibilities outlined above

Preferred

Advanced engineering or technical degree is highly desired
Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is highly desirable
Current registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT)
Professional registration with a recognized state licensing board
Advanced degree in an engineering or technical field
Familiarity with DOE standards and Orders, e.g., DOE O 413.3b, DOE-STD-1189, DOE-STD-1066, etc
Experience in producing designs utilizing AutoCAD tools
