2026-BLA-002 Graduate Legal Intern
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) enriches the environment and protects public health for all New Yorkers. The selected candidate will assist DEP attorneys by performing legal research and appearing at administrative hearings and meetings, focusing on various legal areas including environmental law and contracts.

Responsibilities
Assist DEP attorneys by performing legal research and appearing at administrative hearings and meetings
Develop a final presentation to display assignments they have been involved with while working as an intern at the DEP Interns Closing Ceremony
Qualification
Required
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in an accredited college, university or law school
Preferred
Student must have at least a 2.5GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
Coursework in environmental law, contracts, labor, employment, energy, and administrative law preferred
Strong writing skills
Effective interpersonal skills
Familiarity and/or experience with computers/software
Leadership skills
Self-motivation and ability to work well with minimal supervision
