Responsibilities
Fiscal Oversight: Review monthly financial statements and report findings to the Board
Budgetary Leadership: Guide the leadership team in the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning
Strategic Governance: Collaborate on board-level decisions to sustain and scale the school’s operations
Compliance: Ensure the school adheres to financial policies and best practices for non-profit/charter governance
Presence: Attend monthly board meetings in Rockdale County and participate in mandatory annual board training
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in finance, accounting, or budgeting
Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-finance board members
Passion for education, student-centered learning, and fostering community engagement
Prior experience in non-profit or educational board roles is a plus
