Responsibilities
Lead financial operations for a portfolio of US-based startup clients
Prepare and analyze management reports, financial statements, and key KPIs
Own budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and runway management
Advise founders on fundraising readiness, unit economics, and growth strategy
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements
Coordinate with auditors, accountants, and external advisors
Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to startup CEOs and leadership teams
Translate complex financial insights into clear strategic recommendations
Participate in high-impact client discussions and board-level preparation
Help grow Profitian’s footprint in the NYC startup and VC ecosystem
Build relationships with founders, investors, accelerators, and strategic partners
Represent Profitian at events, community gatherings, and networking opportunities
Contribute to business development efforts bridging the US–Israel tech landscape
Qualification
Required
CPA (required)
7+ years of experience in controllership, senior accounting, or finance leadership
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and reporting standards
Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
A true 'people person' who enjoys working directly with founders
Preferred
Startup experience is a strong plus
Entrepreneurial, proactive, high-ownership mindset
East Coast (NYC area preferred)
