Lab Analyst II

Responsibilities

Collect, label, and process samples for testing, ensuring adherence to established protocols
Perform routine analyses and tests, recording results accurately and assisting in interpreting data
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment by following proper cleaning and sanitation protocols
Monitor and manage inventory levels of laboratory supplies and reagents, assisting with procurement as necessary
Operate laboratory equipment and instruments, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed
Ensure that all equipment is calibrated and functioning properly, reporting any malfunctions to senior staff
Accurately enter and manage data in laboratory information systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
Assist in compiling and preparing reports based on laboratory findings for review by senior personnel
Provide guidance and training to Lab Analyst I and new staff members on laboratory protocols and procedures
Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency and workflow
Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials
Participate in safety training and drills, ensuring awareness of emergency procedures

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in relevant scientific field or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of laboratory techniques and safety protocols
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Proficient in data entry and familiar with laboratory information systems and software
