Responsibilities
Implement the school’s theatre arts core curriculum (programs for students ages 4 to 17)
Teach Musical Theatre Production Classes and Directing Shows
Teach Theatre Arts core curriculum and related classes
Theatre Arts Faculty Supervision, Mentoring, and Training in close consultation with company owners
Quality control in the classroom
Parent Communications
Logistics of Shows, including licensing; selection of suitable Musicals and Plays; ordering costumes, props, sets, and backdrops
Scheduling of Classes and Performances, including in-class demonstrations as applicable
Qualification
Required
Candidates must have earned an undergraduate or graduate degree in Musical Theatre, Theater, Acting, or Drama Education
Must have experience in teaching theater classes and directing musical theatre productions
Musical Theatre Directing: 5 years (Required)
Theater Teaching: 5 years
Classroom teaching: 5 years
Preferred
Additional strong credentials in teaching voice or a musical instrument are highly desirable
