Responsibilities
Establish team goals, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT Infrastructure and Cloud Operations team, including monitoring and responding to incidents, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring system availability and performance
Lead the team in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure using the Microsoft and AWS application stacks
Drive automation, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native practices to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
Collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
Analyze continuously the current processes, technologies, and vendors to identify areas for improvement and/ or changes
Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices to ensure that the company's IT infrastructure remains innovative and competitive
Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures, ensuring that they comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Participate in the development and management of the departmental budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively
Plan and document activities necessary to ensure business continuity in the event of a disaster
Optimize resource utilization and costs, including virtual machines, reservations, or workloads
Ensure availability, performance, and disaster recovery readiness of infrastructure
Implement monitoring and reporting systems to track performance and capacity
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure support, with a minimum of 3 years of experience managing a team
Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft application stack, including Azure, Office 365, and SharePoint
Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
Experience with network architecture and design, including firewalls, VPNs, and routing
Strong leadership and team building skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and in cross-functional teams
Ability to effectively document
